In 2003, textile designer Stephanie Schenck relocated from Berlin to one of the great fashion capitals of the world, Milan.
In the first Phase of her career, she applied her time to knitwear design, which later evolved into dedicating herself to textile design, her real passion.
Since 2007 Stephanie has worked as a freelance designer for various textile design studios in Como. Her work varies from textile to wallpaper prints, and almost all forms of surface decoration and pattern.
In 2014 she created her own line of foulard and scarves, “Schenck” which are produced entirely in Como with small handmade printers, using high quality materials. In December 2017 she opened her own Studio – Shop in Milan.
Stephanie Schenck’s artistry is reflected in her designs, which are almost initially created by hand using various techniques, watercolor, paint, pencil etc…and later elaborated on the computer.
Her inspiration is anything visually interesting, which captures her imagination, in the world around her. The different eras of art, fashion and design manifest themselves consciously and often unconsciously in her work. The essence of Nordic culture mingles with Italian charm, producing iconic textiles and unmistakable designs.
